Dreaded Research Paper

I am writing a research paper on PMRC and information on cases they have been involved in. So far I have found some resources and am starting to put information together that I want to put into my paper. It is coming along pretty good so far. I hope that I will have enough to make it six pages long. I think that I will need more sources than required in order to get a lot of information. I am not the biggest fan of research paper because the biggest thing is putting different pieces of information together to make sense and not sound like a bunch of different ideas just put onto paper.
In order to complete it, I need to structure how I will put all the information together. This is so important because this will make or break the paper. Structure is very important in making sure that the paper makes sense and has a good flow to it. I feel that constructing an outline first will be the way to make this easier. An outline can lay out the structure of the essay and if it doesn’t make sense on the outline, the paper will not make sense. This way, I can make any necessary corrections to the outline before I put it into a research paper. The next thing is making transitions between each paragraph to make it flow well.
I plan on starting the outline once I have gathered enough information from my sources to piece this all together. It will be easier once I start the outline before I put it into my research paper. Once I have done this, I will go over the flow of the information and make sure it all makes sense and sounds interesting enough to read. The area of difficulty that I am experiencing with this paper is definitely how to put all the information together. It is a process to make sure that nothing is missed and that it all flows together in a way that makes sense.
In order to get over this obstacle is to put all the information into an outline as I mentioned earlier. Then put it all together on paper with transitions so that hopefully it flows well. Another important thing is to make sure I do not miss any vital information that will be vital to the research paper. Another difficult obstacle will be making it interesting and appealing to the reader. This is always the last thing on my mind when writing a paper and for that reason it will be difficult to try to keep that in mind along with getting the assignment done. I’m sure that many people go through this in writing papers for school. I’m usually better on paper than anything else but when you have a specific assignment and a deadline, it because a little more difficult to get the work done and also make it sound enjoyable. A very important aspect of my paper will hopefully be to inform people on PMRC, what it stands for and what their goal is.

  1. I think it is kind of hard to develop the ideas within a structure that flow and that is easy to be understood by the reader. I agree with you in the sense that making an outline before start writing the essay it is the best choice. I started to put some ideas first and taking notes while I am reading. They are not in order because I am only writing my ideas and some main points that I am going to develop in the essay. I hope as same to you to have enough information and points to reach the six pages long minimum. I think the most difficult part will be to gather the information, and all the points in a way that the ideas can flow and have sense.
I do not want to feel nervous while the time is passing by because there is a deadline that it will be necessary to comply. I know it will be better if I find more sources to get more information, that is what I am trying to do, but even though the theme I chose is well known, I had some little problems to get material for my research.

  2. I am also writing my paper on the Parents Music Resource Center. Wow, you have enough for six pages already? I’m impressed! I haven’t gotten to actually writing a whole lot yet and you’re getting me worried haha. I think I have enough sources, but I guess we’ll see. I have a hard time making my papers sound cohesive as well. I feel like it sometimes sounds like just a bunch of random information bundled together so I should probably work on transition sentences too. I guess this is when all the books for the class come in handy, huh? You’re not the first person that has mentioned doing an outline and I think it’s a really good idea. Are you taking a lot of other classes? It seems like you have this paper under control meanwhile I’m sweating bullets! I feel so overwhelmed with everything that is being thrown my way in the last couple of weeks left in the semester. By the looks of it, I’m sure you’ll have it done in no time. Summer is almost here, so just hold on a little bit longer! Good luck on everything!

  3. I like the idea of designing outline before writing the paper. Yes you are right it really assists to be framed and not to be overwhelmed by the information you gather. Once you have come up the outline you will be selective in choosing the literatures you are going to use. While designing you outline it is wise to read literatures that have the idea you are going to write since these literatures may have at least one idea that nail you topic. But we must think that for a six page paper we shouldn’t overwhelm ourselves to many ideas and points. As you mentioned it is wise to focus on vital points. As you wrote the last thing I think of is my readers, yes you are right it is also my mistake, I have to think at first my readers and how it make sense to them. This really reminds me a good point. Good luck.
